Deforestation

Deforestation is the permanent removal of trees to make room for something besides forest. This can include clearing the land for agriculture or grazing, or using the timber for fuel, construction or manufacturing. Forests cover more than 30% of the Earth’s land surface, according to the World Wildlife Fund.

Cause: Part of emerging diseases caused by it (%)

Land use change: 31%

Agriculture industry change: 15%

Food Industry change: 2%

Medical Industry change: 11%

Human demography and behavior: 4%

Others: 4%

Between 2015 and 2020, the rate of deforestation was estimated at 10 million hectares per year, down from 16 million hectares per year in the 1990s. The area of primary forest worldwide has decreased by over 80 million hectares since 1990.

Mental Health Awareness

Mental illnesses affect 19% of the adult population, 46% of teenagers and 13% of children each year. People struggling with their mental health may be in your family, live next door, teach your children, work in the next cubicle or sit in the same church pew.

However, only half of those affected receive treatment, often because of the stigma attached to mental health. Untreated, mental illness can contribute to higher medical expenses, poorer performance at school and work, fewer employment opportunities and increased risk of suicide.

The two most common mental health conditions are:

Anxiety Disorders — More than 18% of adults each year struggle with some type of anxiety disorder, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder (panic attacks), generalized anxiety disorder and specific phobias.

Mood Disorders — Mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar depression, affect nearly 10% of adults each year and are characterized by difficulties in regulating one’s mood.

Cloths Distribution to needy people

We often buy new clothes so casually that it doesn’t even make a difference anymore. We’d have unused clothes in our cupboards, just lying there with tags, waiting for us to wear them while we are waiting for some special occasion or maybe we don’t like them anymore.
This may not be a huge deal for us but it sure is for someone who just wishes for a piece of cloth on their bodies. Who just wishes they don’t have to roam around in all ripped clothes. We may not be able to bring significant changes in the world but you can surely change someone’s world significantly by donating food and clothes to the under privileged and needy.
These basic needs for us could be someone’s luxury and you could help make that happen. All you would require is to donate your old and used or unused clothes to someone who would really have value for it and not just it would make their lives better but it would also make you feel good.
Let’s not forget “change begins at home” and if you want a better world start being the change you want to see. Help these people’s who need more.

Plantation and Awareness

Plantations of trees is important as they improve the life and fulfil essential needs of mankind. During photosynthesis, the trees breakdown food materials and consume carbon dioxide. Resultantly with the help of sunlight, the trees produce carbohydrates. Moreover, trees support life by providing habitat to different species such as squirrels, bees and birds. Trees cleanse the climate by absorbing carbon dioxide from the environment and releasing oxygen. The trees cool the environment through their leaves by absorbing the sun heat. Thus, there occurs cooling in the atmosphere. The trees provide shades to houses and streets.

Because we know for every problem we must have solution as well.
Here we have listed few ways to SAVE TREES, you can also spread awareness to SAVE TREES according to your own understanding.
